Product Description

🏭 Purpose
Mainly used in metallurgy and construction industries to transport high-temperature materials such as sintered ore, coke, and cement clinker. Material temperature should not exceed 800 ℃, and surface temperature should not exceed 220 ℃.
Features: The cover layer is made of EPDM rubber, and the skeleton material is made of domestically used high-temperature resistant canvas. The unique formula design solves the key problems of high saturation, poor adhesion, and low interlayer adhesion of EPDM rubber. It has the characteristics of light weight, long lifespan (about 2–4 times), and good heat resistance.
📋 Implementing the standard of "General purpose fabric core conveyor belts with rubber or plastic covering" — this standard adopts the international standard draft ISO/FDIS14890-1999.
A heat-resistant conveyor belt is made of multiple layers of rubber cotton canvas (polyester cotton cloth) or polyester canvas covered with high-temperature resistant or heat-resistant rubber, bonded together by high-temperature vulcanization, suitable for transporting hot coke, cement, slag, and hot castings below 175 ℃.
1. The specifications are the same as ordinary conveyor belts.
2. The product complies with HG2297-92 standard.
3. Heat-resistant conveyor belts can be divided into four types:
Type Max Test Temperature Max Short-term Operating Temp Code
Type I ≤ 100 ℃ 150 ℃ T1
Type II ≤ 125 ℃ 170 ℃ T2
Type III ≤ 150 ℃ 200 ℃ T3

High-temperature resistant steel mesh conveyor belt is made of steel wires woven vertically and horizontally. The surface is galvanized or copper plated, and the lower surface is covered with a rubber layer. During transportation of high-temperature materials, the overall surface does not peel off, and its performance is more reliable than layered heat-resistant conveyor belts.

Key Features
Mainly used in metallurgy, building materials, casting, coking, and chemical engineering industries to transport high-temperature solid materials such as sintered ore, coke, cement, and fertilizers, with specified heat resistance performance.
The heat resistance and service life of heat-resistant conveyor belts mainly depend on the heat resistance of the covering layer and the belt core. Generally, rubber with good heat resistance such as styrene butadiene rubber, butyl rubber, ethylene propylene rubber, etc. are used as the main rubber material, and polyester cotton and polyester canvas with heat resistance and heat shrinkage properties are used as the core.
Heat-resistant conveyor belts are divided into four levels according to different test temperatures:
🌡️
T1 Test temp ≤ 100 ℃
🌡️
T2 Test temp ≤ 125 ℃
🌡️
T3 Test temp ≤ 150 ℃
🌡️
T4 Test temp ≤ 175 ℃
📋 Tape Marking Example: 200 1200 EP 5 1000 8+3 T2 — Length: 200m, Width: 1200mm, Core: EP canvas (5 layers), Strength: 1000N/mm, Cover layers: 8mm (top) + 3mm (bottom), Max test temperature ≤ 125 ℃. Complies with GB/T 20021-2005 "Canvas Heat-resistant Conveyor Belt".
To meet higher operating temperatures, some manufacturers have developed heat-resistant conveyor belts that can withstand higher temperature levels and anti-burning conveyor belts. Generally, flame retardant insulation agents, anti-ablation agents, and thermal conductivity agents are added to the cover layer rubber to improve the high-temperature and anti-ablation properties of the tape.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q What industries are heat-resistant conveyor belts mainly used in?
Heat-resistant conveyor belts are primarily used in metallurgy, building materials, casting, coking, and chemical engineering industries. They are designed to transport high-temperature solid materials such as sintered ore, coke, cement clinker, slag, and hot castings efficiently and safely.
Q What is the maximum operating temperature for a heat-resistant conveyor belt?
The maximum temperature depends on the type. Material temperature should generally not exceed 800 ℃, while the belt surface temperature should not exceed 220 ℃. For specific types: T1 (150 ℃), T2 (170 ℃), T3 (200 ℃), T4 (up to 400 ℃), and T5 (up to 600 ℃ short-term).
Q What materials are used in the cover layer of a heat-resistant conveyor belt?
The cover layer is typically made of EPDM rubber (ethylene propylene rubber), styrene butadiene rubber, or butyl rubber — all of which offer excellent heat resistance. The skeleton material uses high-temperature resistant canvas, such as polyester cotton or polyester canvas, which also provides resistance to heat shrinkage.
Q What standards do heat-resistant conveyor belts comply with?
Heat-resistant conveyor belts comply with multiple standards including HG2297-92, GB/T20021-2005 ("Canvas Heat-resistant Conveyor Belt"), and the international standard draft ISO/FDIS14890-1999 for general purpose fabric core conveyor belts with rubber or plastic covering.
Q What is the advantage of a steel mesh heat-resistant conveyor belt compared to a layered one?
High-temperature resistant steel mesh conveyor belts are made of vertically and horizontally woven steel wires, with a galvanized or copper-plated surface and a rubber layer on the underside. During transportation of high-temperature materials, the overall surface does not peel off, making its performance more reliable and durable than standard layered heat-resistant conveyor belts.
Q How long does a heat-resistant conveyor belt last compared to ordinary belts?
Thanks to the unique EPDM rubber formula and high-temperature resistant canvas skeleton, heat-resistant conveyor belts offer a significantly extended service life — approximately 2 to 4 times longer than ordinary conveyor belts. They are also lighter in weight, which contributes to lower energy consumption and easier installation.
